In conjunction with the ILWU, we hosted a dedication ceremony this past Saturday to officially open our school. Family members of Harry Bridges, ILWU leadership, including international vice president Ray Familathe and pensioners' poet laureate, Jerry Brady , Rep. Janice Hahn from the 36th District, city council member Joe Buscaino, and LAUSD's own superintendent Dr. John Deasy, boardmember Dr. Richard Vladovic, and principal Lou Mardesich all spoke words of praise, hope and encouragement as we enter into this, our first year serving the families of Wilmington.
See the ILWU Credit Union's photos and a few of our own on our photos page.
