8th grade overnight field trip

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The 8th grade class will take an overnight field trip to experience nature hikes, science exploration, and obstacle courses. The focus of the camp in on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.  We will depart from school Tuesday May 31st and return Thursday June 2nd.  This trip will be chaperoned by Harry Bridges school staff, YMCA staff, and parent volunteers.  Please note the following important information.
  • We leave for Camp Whittle on Tuesday, May 31st and return to Harry Bridges on Thursday June 2nd at approximately 2:00pm.  
  • Transportation is being provided by LAUSD and students will travel by bus.
  • The ratio of students to adults is approximately 7:1
  • Students attending the trip must demonstrate Harry Bridges behavior expectations.
  • Every student must have a consent form signed or participation will not be permitted.
  • A suggested donation of $100 is recommended in order to make 8th grade events possible.  However, no child will be excluded due to lack of resources.
